Description
From 1985-87, Bertil and Hseng Noung Lintner, with their infant daughter, embarked on an arduous 2,275 km journey across northern and eastern Burma. This trek yielded “Land of Jade,” a unique account of the struggle of Burma’s ethnic groups against army rule, the fall of the Communist Party, and the poignant resilience of tribal communities caught amidst political conflict, drug lords, and opportunists.
